If you’ve been with me for a while you know that I to find revelation in just about everything. I just choose to believe that God is always speaking and teaching us if we’re open to hear him. Here’s the latest.
A couple of years ago on a trip to Ikea my husband and I bought a Wok. He was so excited about it and I just thought he planned to make stir fry more often. Needless to say over the years I have been shocked and skeptical of the things he has cooked. Over the weekend he really tipped me over the edge. He was cooking some pasta and I walk in the kitchen to find him boiling the noodles in the Wok! I was like no sir! You do not boil noodles in the Wok. He said, “I got this, just watch.” I politely left the kitchen and I just knew that the noodles would not cook thoroughly but boy was I wrong lol. The noodles were great and the pasta as a whole was delicious.
Here’s the revelation: Sometimes people and even you will only see yourselves through the lense of what you have seen or experienced. There will be doubt about the possibility that you can do more than what has been seen or expected of you. But you know what? You can be 1 of 3 things in this scenario. You can be me, doubting Thomas, who won’t believe without seeing. You can be my husband who can see the potential and move forward to help see it realized. Or you can be the wok, who is capable of doing and being more than a stir fry pan lol. You can fry meat, you can boil noodles, you can steam vegetables, and so much more! Lol
I’m making light of some of this but I just wanted to encourage you not to let others or yourself prevent you from reaching your fullest potential. No matter where you have seen yourself cap off before it doesn’t mean that’s the end. See yourself doing more and go after it. Send all of your naysayers to another room while you use your faith to watch the impossible be fulfilled in your life!
